Three is the magic number for the Chew Valley Santa Scramble and Mini Santa Scramble as we return to bring you the best way to start the festive season. Simply run, walk, jog, sprint or toddle around a marshalled route dressed like Santa!

Entries available via the link to Race Nation

The morning of festive family activity on Sunday 15th December 2019 comprises two fun runs.  The Santa Scramble commencing at 10:30am, is a 5k(ish) route across fields and lanes, starting and finishing at Chew Valley School.  This year its open to all ages and abilities although under 11’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times and we do ask that you are able to complete the route in under two hours.

The younger members of the family get their slice of the action with the 1k mini Santa Scramble. Starting at 9:30am it’s just a shorter version of the 5K and all contained within the school grounds. Parents/Carers are welcome to join in the fun and accompany their child but, in the spirit of Christmas, festive dress is obligatory!

We supply the course, the marshals, the obligatory christmassy medal and the Santa suit in the price of your entry! Be aware that the route is very muddy this year so definitely not your newest trainers!

On the actual morning Registration opens at 8am, closes at 9am for 1k and 10am for the 5k.  This is your window to collect suits if they’ve not collected them from the school in the week before, commencing Monday 9th December.

If you entered before midnight on 7th December, you have 3 options to collect your Santa suit

1. Collect your Santa Suit from Chew Valley School Reception

Your suit and race number will be available for collection from the main reception at Chew Valley School from Monday 9th December until Friday 13th December between 8.30am and 4.00pm. We would suggest, for your own sanity, that you avoid trying to park at the school at 3:15pm when school finishes.

2. Collect your Santa Suit from Chew Valley Rugby Club

This year, you can collect your Santa suits from the clubhouse between 10am and midday on Sunday 8th December.

3. Collect your Santa Suit from Race HQ

Alternatively you can collect your suit and race number from the Event HQ (in the Chew Valley Leisure Centre Sports Hall) on the morning of the 15thDecember from 08:00am until 09:00am for the 1k and until 10:00am for the 5K.

If you did not enter the race until after midnight on 7th December

For those who enter after midnight on Saturday 7th December we are very sorry but the early collection options (1 & 2 above) for your suit are not possible and you’ll have to wait an extra six sleeps before you can dress like santa!

And to add to that warm, fuzzy glow that running dressed like Santa will provide, all money raised supports Chew Valley School and improvements in sporting equipment.
