Don’t Miss Out on this year’s Chew Valley Santa Scramble!

There is still time to join in the fun at The Chew Valley 5k-ish Santa Scramble! Starting at 10:30am on Sunday 15th of December, with a Mini 1K Santa Scramble at 9:30am, the event will take place at Chew Valley School, BS40 8QB. Now in its third year, the event is sponsored by Winford Ford and is extremely enjoyable for any age – simply run, walk, plod or toddle around a marshalled route dressed as Santa!

A team of fourteen A Level Business students from Chew Valley School are helping to organise the 1k whilst other students are running stalls to fundraise for enlightening expeditions. All funds raised will go to Chew Valley School Society to buy outdoor gym equipment.

An experienced medical team and festive marshals will ensure the event runs smoothly and Santa himself has arranged for everyone taking part to receive a seasonal themed medal. There is also free parking, changing, bag storage, Christmas music, jingle bells, a Santa Sleigh, hot festive refreshments and food and a few surprises!

Business student, Savannah Gatton said “We are all really looking forward to organising the 1K of the 15th of December – it was great last year to see the community so festive. We’dlike to thank Winford Ford for their continued sponsorship of this event, along with all the other sponsors whose support helps to make the event such a success. We hope you will come and take part and support us!”.

Entries will be available on the day from 8.00-10.00am at Chew Valley School (subject to a maximum number of Santa suits). You can also register with the Santa Scramble Team at local Christmas Fairs.

Entry includes your Santa suit, hat and beard and Christmas medal and is £7 for under 11’s, £10 for under 18’s and over 60s, and £14 for adults. All details are available at

Hope to see you there in the festive spirit!
