Santa Suits

Ordering your Santa suit.

When you register or the event alongside your contact details you will be asked to choose the size of suit you’d like.  The cost of the suit is included in your entry fee of £14 or £10 if you’re under 18 years of age (or £7 if you are running the mini Santa Scramble) and the suit is yours to take away and wear again whenever the urge takes you….like on the 25th of December for example.

Ordering an additional suit

We have additional suits available to purchase if you are running with a child in the 1k Mini Santa Scramble….or you just want to own more than one after the event!  On the Entries website when you register there is an option for you to add extra suits to your basket.

Suit collection

Your suit and race number will be available to collect from the main reception at Chew Valley School between 08:30– 4pm from Monday 26th November until Friday 30th November. We would suggest, for your own sanity, that you avoid trying to park at the school at 3:15pmwhen school finishes. Alternatively you can collect your suit and race number from the Event HQ (in the Leisure Centre sports Hall) on the morning of the 2nd December from 08:30am until 09:30am for the 1k and until 10:30amfor the 5K.

This year, with kind permission from Chew Valley rugby club, those entrants with rugby playing children can collect their Santa suits from the clubhouse between 10am and midday on Sunday 25th November .

For those who enter after midnight on Saturday 24thNovember we are very sorry but the early collection option of your suit is not possible and you’ll have to wait an extra six sleeps before you can dress like santa!

What size suit should I order?

This is a tricky one to answer but as a general guide we would recommend our youngest Santa, up to about 7 or 8 years of age order a kids suit. If your child is quite tall it might be worth going up a size as the fabric doesn’t fray and can be cut to fit.

The Youth suit, we’re told, fits a 13/14 year old or an adult up to about 5’2 but again, if your child is on the tall side, size up and cut off the extra fabric.

The adult suit is, well, basically for anyone over about 5’2 and there’s plenty of room to add the authentic Santa Stomach whether its naturally or with a pillow!

What if I find my suit doesn’t fit?

The Santa suits come in three sizes so we realise that for almost everyone the suit won’t be a tailored fit, if in doubt size up.  If it’s too big then get a pair of scissors and cut the fabric to a better size.  The material doesn’t fray so no sewing skills are required.

If your suit is too small we may be able to swap it, however we will have limited sizes available.  Bring your existing suit to Race HQ on the morning and the elves will do their very best to help you out.  As a plea to the lovely staff who work at the school, please don’t return your suit to them and expect them to swap it, they won’t know stock levels.

And we should add here that you are very welcome to add your own touches of Christmas sparkle to your suit to stand out from the crowd!
